  1. We now have a WoB that pretty much confirms that Cultivation is a dragon: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/406/#e14441
  2. I saw the dragon comment, then the multiple forms and immediately said the same thing. Cultivation has to be a dragon. I swear Brandon mentioned at one point that the shard holders are not necessarily all humans either or that a shard could be held by a dragon.
  3. Just finished a few hours ago and read through what everyone has said. This one hit me harder emotionally than Oathbringer. Kaladin and Shallan struggling and saying how tired they both were really hit home with how I've been feeling lately. It's very much a middle book, but there was so much to digest. Some immediate thoughts: Design is the best and is perfect. I can see why Brandon said chapter 80 was his favourite. It was amazing. New Odium is terrifying. Like absolutely terrifying Ishar's spren thing is straight out of a horror novel The whole metal interations with gems thing was actually awesome. Really curious what gold metals would do for fabrials. I don't care how predictable it was. Kaladin swearing the ideal was absolutely perfect and brought tears to my eyes I only have profanities for Moash I'm almost 100% sure Cultivation is a Dragon from the hinting of many forms after Rayse dies and the mention of there being a dragon on Roshar There's probably more, but that was a journey. Definitely not re-reading it until we have a release date for book 5 but I want to see how much my thoughts change with the world changing so much.
  4. Sorry if this was posted elsewhere, but I remember there being text around the mural in a language that Rysn had never seen. Did we ever figure out what that text said or what language it was?
  5. A bit late to the party, as I just finished last night and am travelling in China right now. That was absolutely mindblowing. So much new cosmere stuff and character development. The scope of this book felt so massive but so personal (I loved the bridge 4 viewpoints). Also the final battle was just perfect. Dalinar’s moment was perfect and was so powerful. For the Wheel of Time readers, the final battle reminded me a lot of another very very long chapter that Brandon wrote in the final book there. It’s like he took what he did there and honed it to absolute perfection here. I still can’t get over how good this was and just want more.
  6. Posted this already in the Stormlight form, but I asked Brandon 2 serious questions and one silly one. First was for my copy of Edgedancer: "Tell me something I wouldn't know about Lift" Answer: "She sometimes doesn't like Foods, but not all of them" Second: "Question about the Shin. Are the Shin originally from Roshar?" Answer: RAFO (First Card yay!) Third: "Tangentially related to that, does the Shin obsession/valuing of Stone/Metal have anything to do with Scadrial?" Answer: "Yes. Oathbringer gets you closer to finding out more about the Shin, but still a bit of a way out." Overall, I think that definitely opens a bit of a can of worms, but so glad I got to chat with him again. Also general pro-tip (I didn't see it specifically called out in the yes/no thing or missed it), keep questions and things in books to very specific things. He will not answer "Tell me who is a worldhopper" or anything that vague.
  7. Just asked Brandon “Are the Shin originally from Roshar” I was given a RAFO card. A follow up was is the Stone Shamanism/soulcast metal thing related to Scadrial in any way and the answer was yes. So that throws something I saw here before where Shinovar is originally part of Roshar into a slightly saner place. Also first time posting here so if this belong in general cosmetics theories, please move it there
