  1. I completely agree. I also don't think it would be healthy. Kaladin needs someone to balance him, not to set him off. If Jasnah has any relationship I would probably assume it to be platonic as she is a mainly cerebral person to whom bodily needs are (excuse the pun) somewhat immaterial. We can also see this in her powers: she can travel to the cognitive realm and she can transform matter (thus becoming aware how mutable and impermanent the material world is). On a purely practical level she is now acting queen of Alethkar which if we know Jasnah at all she will take supremely seriously. I doubt that (even if she were so inclined) she would let a mere romance distract from her new duties and studies. All that aside I also don't see it happening with Kaladin at the moment as I think Jasnah views him as quite immature on some points of reason and the two of them disagree on a few very fundamental concepts. I see Kaladin moving more towards a potentially widowed Laral, a Windrunner page, or a character that has barely/not jet been introduced. In general, both Jasnah and Kaladin currently have way more urgent stuff on their plates than romance...
  2. Just throwing this in here. Yelig-nar makes his host grow amethyst ridges. This gem is related to metal as well as the herald kalak, if I am not mistaken. A possible connection there maybe?
  3. I like lists! So I'm trying to compile lists including anything and everything we've learned so far. Lists of greatspren, lists of types of spren, lists of radiant resonances. Anybody feel like adding something? Any lists are welcome.
  4. Granted! You now have the wisdom to wish well and live the rest of your life tortured by the knowledge that you wasted your wish because you are now aware of all the better wishes you could have made. I wish to not be cursed by the Nightwatcher.
  5. Its funny I thought of Pullman immediately as well. The mind also wanders to McCaffreys Dragonrider where all women riding male dragons were butch lesibians. I'm not quite sure if this is relevant but I do remember it being mentioned in the books, that with more powerful spren there where four genders. So there the math really wouldn't work out anymore It would also not be very in line with what we know about the bond so far. It seems to be much more of a choice of the spren based on the persons experiences, capabilities, beliefs and values of the human, rather than the spren being a manifestation of the radiants soul or something. Also word of god has Shallan as bi.
  6. Ah I understand. The expression »post a topic« is apparently somewhat ambiguous. Thank you Now let's just hope someone is actually interested enough to amswer...
  7. I got 84% Elsecaller and 97% Truthwatcher as well as 53% for Lightweaver and exactly zero on everything else. I guess that's pretty clear . I'm happy. I would have chosen those three either way. Not sure about the order though...
  8. So there seems to be this obsession with symmetry in roshar. Reflectional symmetry in the glyphs and names, radial symmetry in the cities as shown by kabsal. The ardents and faithful apparently view this as a sign of divinity but as the reader who is at least somewhat versed in the metaphysics of shards one wonders about the true meaning. A large part of the Magic System seems to be built up on the interaction of various disparate elements (Nahel-bond as the connection of physical and cognitive realm or the resonances between two surges). Are these symmetries "resonances" resulting from the interation of Honor/Cultivation/Odium? Or possibly a reflection of some other basic system? Any theories? Help!
