  1. I had the impression that the interludes are made of of two things( individual vignettes and a series of chapters that combine into a novelette). Words of Radiance has one-off interludes from Ym, Rysn, Zahel, Taln, Lift, Lahn, and Taravangian, but then there are six chapters distributed through the WoR interludes that have Eshonai as PoV and together form her novelette.
  2. Very cool topic! All I have to add is that I think the short story collection is a bunch of unrelated one-off PoVs, including Rysn, possibly Lift, some random Ardents (isn't there a reading that's available online that's set in something like a monastery?), and who knows what else. Hopefully Nale is done killing proto-Radiants otherwise I think we could expect another of those. Brandon seems to use the short story interludes to flesh out the world and story using a bunch of shallow looks at new characters, PoVs and settings.
  3. Hi folks, this is my (almost) first post, and my first time starting a new thread. I'm loving all of the great info and discussion that's available on these boards! One of the things I love about Brandon as an author is how much he communicates/shares with the larger fandom, and I was excited to follow his update posts for OB on reddit, which included broad charts/outlines for what sections of the books contain PoVs from what kinds of characters. This is probably a minor spoiler, so I'll play it safe showing the Oathbringer example: Anyway, the point of this post to ask if anyone knows of similar outlines that exist for tWoK and WoR? I think these charts are super cool from a writing/planning perspective, and can also reveal some useful clues about how Brandon goes about pacing his books and series.
  4. I don't think it makes sense for Kaladin to lead the newly awake parshendi, just because what does he know about who the parshendi are or where they came from? Rlain, on the other hand, is very well positioned to step in an teach the newly awakened parshendi about who they are, their origins/ways, etc.
  5. Who? May Aladar? Oh you mean daughter of Highprince Aladar. I think her name is May? May Aladar.
