  1. Changes coming new coming changes 1202021
  2. “Roshar has something that so many other peoples in the cosmere want: free, portable, easy-to-access power.” Roshar=Arrakis The Stormlight must flow.
  3. I think we are going to get a twist that involves Navani and we won’t like her after. I don’t trust her. Never have. Prologue sets us up to sympathize with her and then...bam. Something bad. That’s all I have for you.
  4. Remember that WoT cover art (one of the newer covers) that had Elayne, Aviendha, and Nynaeve doing the Bowl of the Winds thing? I’m imagining something similar with Shallan, Veil, and Radient depicted making illusions or whatever the occasion calls for. Maybe V&R appear a bit more ghostlike. Yeah. Cool.
  5. I have slightly different problem. Myself, my two sisters, and my dad have all read Stormlight and various other Sanderson books. When we get into that violet wine during family dinner, we get crazy with the talks and references and it annoys my mom because she feels left out. I tried to get her to listen to Way of Kings via audiobook, but she only made it through ten chapters.
  6. No, my moral compass says no she shouldn’t have done that. As a reader, however, I love it because it illustrates Jasnah’s cold logic and gives you a glimpse of just how damaged she is. I can’t wait to read her book in the back 5.
  7. This topic has been fascinating. Can we talk about what would happen if Nightblood cut a shard? Like, Odium, perhaps...
  8. Mom of toddlers here , so I’ve already lost count of how many times I’ve seen Frozen II. Every single time I hear the “do the next right thing” song it reminds me of Dalinar’s answer to “what is the most important step a man can take?”
  9. Zahel! Please please please Major cosmere character, but pretty minor at this point in Stormlight.
  10. I could be wrong, but I always assumed that Shallan did something similar with Pattern when she was a child. Specifically, when she locked away the memory of killing her mother, she was denying a truth. My interpretation was that it sort of unraveled their bond and it made Pattern disappear for a time. Am I wrong? I’m curious to know how others interpreted that.
  11. The epilogue of Oathbringer! Wit makes a doll and awakens it to coax a little girl out because she refuses to leave her mother that was crushed under a building. He leads the girl to the woman that rocks the empty cradle and tells her to look after the girl. It’s so horrifying and hopeful at the same time. I’m feeling all sorts of emotions just from writing this.
  12. That TOR will not release part one prior to Nov. 17, 2020. That slow build up and the discussion on the Shard got me through each week that lead up to the Oathbringer release.
  13. I agree with the above statements and want to say (reiterate) that the Dalinar and Shallan parts were very hard to read for me (for various reasons), but they are so important for the character development that happens in the series. Oathbringer is worth reading because you get new viewpoints, very interesting reveals, Cosmere easter eggs that are really fun, new places that are explored, and the most epic Sanderstorm that has occurred in the series. WoR is my favorite, but this book took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions and it made me fall even more in love with the series because of the complexity of it all. Take a break if you need to, but definitely come back. Don’t abandon this journey!!
  14. Ah! Best news ever! My mind is racing!! What if someone gets ahold of Nightblood and figures out a way to copy him and manufacture shardblades?!
