  1. I'd be willing to contribute, if I could use a pseudonym. With regards to further details, is each submission meant to stand entirely on its own, or can it involve some sort of story arc?
  2. Hypothesis - Roshar is Odium's prison. Either highstorms could be the natural result of Stormlight leaking from an imperfect sphere (and considering Roshar's mountainous terrain, we couldn't call it a perfect sphere), or the everstorm is what happens when you crack the sphere and Stormlight starts to leak. Separate, more likely hypothesis - Roshar is Cultivation's prison.
  3. The ability to split timelines and pick whichever one works out best, while retaining memories and being fully aware of what I'm doing in the other timeline at that moment. Never again will I be faced with a difficult decision - just pick both options, see how they turn out, then discard whichever one didn't turn out as well.So basically Coil fom Worm. That, and I could go about and be productive in one timeline while sitting at home reading in the other.
  4. I'd have to say the Way of Kings, for making me realize just how far I had to go before I could do good worldbuilding and character development. With regards to the damaged copy... I wept, I mourned, I donated my copy to the library (who accepted it, for reasons I cannot comprehend), then moved on and bought another. Faithless, I know. And you say these symptoms are... normal? Eh, doesn't feel that different. i'll take your word for it.
  5. No idea how to start this off, so... hi. Sanderfan from the UK, first introduced to his work from his Infinity Blade novellas. From there I sort of spiraled out of control and finished the entire Cosmere and Reckoners in the span of one and a half months, to the considerable detriment of my social life. Now that that's finished, well, here I am. My other interests in literature are the works of Wildbow (finished Worm, just started Pact) and V.E Schwab. Outside of literature, I am the stereotypical fantasy nerd; my idea of a good time is locking myself away in my room to learn basic programming. I can recite fictional family trees better than my own, I know the Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition rulebook better than the laws of my school and country, and I am capable of spending an entire day doing nothing but sorting my collection of Magic: The Gathering cards. When I have attained the perfect level of social isolation, typically at 1 AM on a Monday morning, I enjoy writing. My writing is typically in the form of epic fantasy which I never finish, though I've been forcing myself to do more short stories based on the recommendations of the literature teacher. I tend to keep a close circle of few friends, none of whom (alas) share my love for Sanderson. I lent one of them my copy of Final Empire, and he returned it a month later less than a hundred pages in, soaked in water with the middle portions falling out. One of the others refuses to take up any of my recommendations until I watch the original Star Wars trilogy (I apologize for the blasphemy). So... yeah. Lhurgoyf out.
