  1. A steel + F steel = Extreme speed compounding, combined with pushing at something behind you would basically make one the Flash A nicrosil + F nicrosil = I don't know if it would work, but I always thought that if you stored up some nicrosil storing in your nicrosil until you can't fill it anymore since you are storing your storing ability (yeah, weird) and then burn it, your nicrosil storing ability would be stronger AND the allomancer you are bursting would be even more bursted by the extra Investiture the compounding gave A electrum + F electrum = You store some determination, burned the metalmind, releasing determination (plus some adrenaline with that) and the ability to see your own future. A perfect combat ability. That is all I can think of right now. Yeah, most compounding twinborns are pretty cool
  2. Steelrunners can run insanely fast, right? But how do they not trip or crash into something? My question is: do they have enhanced perception of time while tapping their steel? If they don't, they wouldn't be able to perform complex movements I wondered also because Sazed described simply moving slowly, no decreased perception of time. This raises another question. Do tapping a metalmind have a plus effect? For example bloodmakers can heal wounds that should be lethal, regenerate limbs.
  3. Good idea But I don't think you could steal that, as it is not Investiture-stuff, like you can't steal the hearing of an allomancer. And even if it was, you would have to know where to spike it. I think the only way not human senses could be used by tin ferrings is that the platypus is a full feruchemist and he/she creates an unkeyed tin mind and fill it with the necessary sense then give it to a human windwhisperer I don't think it was about enhancing his pain. It cleared his head but enhanced his pain as a side effect
  4. Windwhisperers, the tin ferrings, can store their senses. I always thought tin was a bit strange, as you can fill metalminds with different stuff -sight, hearing, smell etc. I don't think any other ferring can do that, except bendalloy, according to Coppermind, they can make another metalmind to store fluid intake(or maybe there is another one? What if a chromium ferring can store bad luck besides good luck? That would be weird and I don't think that's how it works) But let's get back to Windwhisperers. According to the Coppermind, they can store more than the five main senses. Any sense they are aware of can be stored. Sense of balance: just lie in bed for an hour a day and you become an acrobat Pain: though pain is vital, as it shows if we are injured, sometimes it would be good to store. Though I can't think of a scenario that would make anyone tap a pain metalmind Thermoception: not feeling cold nor heat could come in handy, but same with the pain, it is necessary And so on. These were the few I could find, but as you can see, with a plenty of charge in their metalminds, any tin ferring would make a great Daredevil-like dude
  5. Compounding is having the same feruchemical and allomantic metal ability, charging a metalmind and burning it, thus releasing greater power, right? Well, I had a little thought about how Wax could Compound. An allomancer gains the most power if the composition of the alloy is right (for example pewter is 91% tin and 9% lead) , if he or she burns a metal with the percentages wrong, the released power is less and they might even get sick or die. A feruchemist can fill a metalmind more if it is closer to allomantic purity. Wax can fill iron metalminds and burn steel. Steel is mostly iron with some carbon, in our world. I couldn't find anything on the composition of allomantic steel, but let's say it is 98% iron and 2% carbon, while allomantic iron is 100% iron. What if Wax filled a metalmind that is 99% iron and 1% carbon and then tried to burn it?
  6. Hi guys. I couldn't find much about this topic so I thought I would ask: does lerasium still exist? In Shadows of Self, Wax climbs up the Pits of Hathsin, using the holes holding geodes containing atium. I know that Sazed reassembled the world into its old shape, which can mean that the Pits contain the few atium beads that were not found by either the kandra or the skaa, or that they are freshly produced ones. Harmony is half Ruin, after all. Wax also had a thought that the Well of Ascension might be in Kredik Shaw, which is now underground. The Well of Ascension was the only (known) place where lerasium formed, and if atium is still forming, lerasium must be, too, because...balance and harmony?:P (On a side note: does anyone have any info on the Well of Ascension? Was it destroyed, does it still exist? I don't know a lot about Shardpools as I have only read Mistborn, but I plan to read the other Cosmere books, too.) Does ettmetal/harmonium have any role in this?
  7. Thanks guys! I like the idea that snapping still exists but occurs easier or that souls are already cracked, it makes more sense than my theory and they don't oppose WoB :).
  8. Hi guys! I am new here and I had a thought about the twinborn. Sorry if this has been posted before. (Excuse me for any mistakes, english is not my native language) So. We know that a twinborn has access to one allomantic and one feruchemical power. This is possible because of the fact that they had both allomancer and feruchemist ancestors/parents. We also know that by Wax's time, there are no Mistborn, only Mistings, and no full Feruchemists, only Ferrings, as the wiki said that that was the cost of twinborn becoming possible. The powers intermingled with each other, creating the twinborn. We also know that there were mistings waaaay before Sazed's Ascension, but no ferrings. Why? Feruchemy was much older, it should have been the first to start becoming weaker (though that might be because the remaining feruchemists after TLR's Ascension tried keeping the bloodline pure, but let's ignore that for now). Mistings and mistborn also had to snap to access their powers. -Feruchemy has a tendency of being whole and not having to snap -Allomancy has a tendency of having to snap and only giving access to mostly one power What does this mean? As the sDNA of the two metallic arts mixed they created something new. They kept some traits and threw away the rest. Feruchemy took on the tendency to only have one power. And Allomancy here it comes, be ready, took on the tendency of not having to snap. Why I think so? We have been told before that after Sazed's Ascension, the method of snapping was changed. I also don't remember Wax or Wayne saying anything snapping-related (correct me if I'm wrong) in all of alloy era. It was also said that metalborn are much more common in Wax's time, which kinda feels connected to my theory. At the age of, let's say 10, each child is given a vial of all the sixteen (fourteen, as you are pretty useless as an aluminum or duraluminum gnat unless you are a compunder) metals to drink, thus finding the allomancers. The main problem in the Final Empire was that even if someone snapped, they would have no idea they are allomancers (except if you snap for a metal you can get from food or water, like Vin did). In the Alloy Era, such a problem doesn't exist anymore. These are my thoughts. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
