  1. I can't find the WoB that talks about this. I remember reading that Rayse has tricked/believes that his Shard is Passion and not Hatred as could be defined by the word Odium. I have a theory that the book 5 ending of the SA will feature Dalinar bonding Rysn to Rayse and she uses her Dawnshard to change Odium to mean passion.
  2. I am curious about how to even wound a shard, does wounding involve wore harming the shard holder? And when Brandon refers to Ambition do you think he is referring to the shard or the shard bearer or both?
  3. Keep in mind Ambition was not splintered but in fact wounded, and we do not know of what happened to the shard after that. My theory still stands that Ambulation being wounded in Threndry and Taln's scar both having red stars is connected.
  4. What if Horneaters have a mild version of this power, because of their heritage with the Parshendi and communicate with spren and talk to them. Rock felt bad after saving Kaladin not just because he killed but because he talked to a dead/trapped spren(god)? to make it easier for him to use the bow. And we have seen that spren can create strength in terms of the fact that Chasmfeinds shouldn't exist and would die from the weight of the carapace but with a spren bonded they can.
  5. This is something I asked at the Ad Astra signing back in march. Me: As we are talking about design art I just have a question about the star chart in Arcanum Unbound. Mostly is the Red Star in Threnody connected to the red stars in The scar? WoB: RAFO! My theory is that when ambition got wounded in his battle with Odium he turned the star red, we know that ambition is not currently in the Threnody system , and the shard could have left to Taln's scar turning more stars red. I don't know how Ambition is turning the stars red, but I believe he is responsible and is not currently in control of his inveture.
  6. I don't think its been confirmed yet either... but... come on it has to be.
  7. Sorry if this was posted before, I did try and look to see if was already out there. I just finished reading Oathbringer and something really stuck to me about Honor or more actually about his death. I am at school right now and don't have access to the book and I will edit this later, just have to get this off my mind. I don't think Honor was Shattered. Or at least if he did, it was on purpose. He gave the the Stormfather the go ahead to make Honor spren Told the spren at the Oathgates to make sure no one uses it to travel, these spren also note that Honor was acting strange in his last days Dalinar's visions would require planning Epigraph # 67 really helps this theory "This generation has had only one Bondsmith, and some blame the divisions among us upon this fact. The true problem is far deeper. I believe that Honor himself is changing." when Dalinar says "I am Unity" “I will take responsibility for what I have done. If I must fall, I will rise each time a better man. ” — The Third Ideal of the Bondsmiths[7] To what purpose or what made him start to change i don't know, but I think it might have to do with something about Humans Vs Parshmen. He decided to shatter himself and become a new shard Unity to stop the fighting. Cultivation might have her part to play in this by making or should I say cultivating Dalinar into a Bondsmith to "Unite Them" or to reassemble Honor and his shard.
  8. That is an interesting concept to think that the sibling is of both Honour and Cultivation, and yet if Odium succeed making Dalinar his bondsmith he could have planned to use him to bond with the sibling making him a VoidBondsmith!. In the epigraphs they only mention eight unmade, maybe the ninth is the sleeping sibling. Spren do predate the shaterring so Odium doesn't need to have his own, just one that he potentially can bond with.
  9. He possibly could be invested with the third major spren, so far the two other shards on Roshar have done so, Honour and the stormfather, Cultivation and the Night watcher, that leaves Odium to be connected in some way to the Spren that sleeps. This could even be the reason why he can't leave Roshar as it might be a splinter of him.
  10. Mraize definitely had an Aviar in Urithiru, when Shallan first meets him in the Sadeas camp. Also can't remember who but somebody swore to Purity, possibly could be a new shard. I think were missing the big picture on world hopping, which is the oathgates! Things that stood out for me was that the spren(?), and that they were guarding the oathgates saying no one could use them because of the fact that Honour closed them in his last days. who knows if this was how humans travled before the fall of Adolisium.
  11. Maybe Honour thought it was unhonourable to have an unfair fight with the fused against regular humans, and gave the Honour blades to the humans. Or even crazier theory was that Honour agreed to help the human refugees as an oath, and then when Odium switched sides he was bound by oaths to help Humans.
  12. But Renarin's spren is not of Odium, Glys was corrupted by one of the Unmade, the same one that corrupted the Oathgate in Kholinar. Yes the Unmade might have come from Odium, that doesn't mean they still follow/invested by him.
  13. Did Hoid have white hair originally though? cause back when Shallan tells the story in Urithru is shocked when her illusion has white hair all of a sudden. I think it could be connected to the royal family in war breaker and could even be hinting at something about the Iriali.
  14. It seems there are three main spren on Roshar, when Rock is talking about how the horn eater peaks were created he mentions the god of water (Stormfather), the god of trees (Culitvation), and Finally the god of earth (unknown). Side thing is that I think the leader of the horn eaters, a tana'kai was actually a bondsmith.
