  1. Odium has not officially been freed from Braize yet (which is his prison), he is still mostly trapped on Braize, as Odium himself explains when talks to Dalinar. His greater influence on Roshar is likely a result of the Everstorm providing him with a link to Roshar, like how he talks to Taravangian when there is an Everstorm and so on.
  2. I've got a bad feeling that Lirin or a close companion of Kaladin's will die, leading up his 4th oath regarding how he can't always protect everyone... On another note, I think we will get some new supporting characters from Kaladin/Venli's plotline that would bite the dust by the end of SA4... We shall find out next year
  3. Hi guys, I got another possible question: "In the Arcanum Unbounded star chart for the Rosharan and Drominad Systems, the suns in the charts are sixteen-pointed, is this intentional/significant?" This comes from something I recently realized, the Rosharan sun in the Rosharan star-chart is half-covered, but by extrapolating the top half (which has 8-points), you can tell that there is 16-points in total, similar to the Drominad system sun. Seems fishy to me, given that 16 is so cosmere-centric, moreover only these 2 systems have this unique feature.
  4. I chanced upon this on tumblr that contained a segment of an interview Brandon did in Bulgaria last month and during one of the questions, the interviewer asked " If you are entrusted with a shard of Adonalsium, which shard?" and Brandon replied "maybe Ingenuity" which is not one of the 10 shards currently known to us. I'm not sure if he was just saying a quality that would suit himself or he accidentally/intentionally released a new shard name. The link to the video and tumblr is: http://imaginarycosmere.tumblr.com/ & https://www.facebook.com/Ozone.bg/videos/10155148570203320/ (the question is asked around 16:15) What do you guys think? new shard or not? and cheers
  5. Hi guys, from the wob below, I theorize that the magic systems in the cosmere have space travel in built into them, meaning all or at least most magic systems would enable space travel to occur. This is probably part of Adonalsium's plan for the cosmere and he might have wanted the cosmere to eventually attain FTL travel and travel to other planetary systems. I can't figure out exactly why he would want this to happen, but i suspect it is to unite the cosmere against a universal threat, maybe a powerful force from the Scar/outside the cosmere dwarf galaxy, since the Arcanum Unbounded star chart showed the Scar constellation as something malevolent and deep red is a dangerous colour in the cosmere. Moreover we have "word of issac" that some stars in the star chart are from outside the cosmere dwarf galaxy, which could likely be the Scar (or part of it). Therefore, we will probably see more than Scadrial achieving FTL travel when we reach that era of the cosmere QUESTION Would a conventional science fiction society be able to travel between worlds via FTL? BRANDON SANDERSON Yes, they definitely could. In fact, built into the system is...you will see space travel. In fact I have several of them plotted, I just can't write them yet. It is going to be really fun. One of my very first ideas for the cosmere was this spaceship going between, and actually, Sixth of the Dusk, which is coming out, the Writing Excuses Anthology one, is cosmere and they mention space travel in it, so... Word of Issac found in this thread:
  6. Hi the quote is in the link below, just search "It is yours". Thanks http://www.theoryland.com/intvsresults.php?kwt='harmony'
  7. My predictions: The Stormlight Archive - Renarin becomes a herald at the end of book 5 - Odium is wounded and removed from the Rosharan System in book 5 - Dalinar will sacrifice himself to be Odium's Champion - Taravangian will be the overall emperor of Roshar by the end of book 5 - A god-spren remnant of Adonalsium left on the rosharan system will take a major role in the back five books - I have this theory that "the man who calls himself Taln" is in fact Tanavast (Tanavast's cognitive shadow fused with Taln's body) - The cognitive shadows on Braize include imprisoned Yolen Demigods, imprisoned by Adonalsium long long ago onto Braize, since Braize is a like a prison (from a WoB), I suspect there are 9 of them and there used to be 10 (including Hoid, but he escaped somehow, links to the big RAFO we got regarding Hoid and Braize) - A substitute or form of Adonalsium will be reformed through the dawn-shards, Talenel (the true Talenel) will hold this power and direct it to get vengeance against the world for his thousands of year torture and attempt to change the world (this happens at the end of Stormlight 9 and we see this happen in greater detail in Stormlight 10) Mistborn - Mistborn Era 3 will deal with Odium as the main antagonist, Odium will have some tech that allows it to utilize splintered shards to his advantage without altering his intent - Kelsier will take up Harmony shard from Harmony through some scheme to fight Odium (based on the quote we got for Mistborn 9) - In the final trilogy, the main threat will be a spiritual realm powerful entity that is against the increasing cosmere awareness of the shardworlds. This antagonist is also responsible for the weapon used by the 16 shardholders in destroying Adonalsium in the first place, in anger of it creating sentience in the physical/cognitive realms. This antagonist is also responsible for the fain life and red rip. I guess that the drominad system has some links to do this, because of the seven planets (seventh land from Ym's religon) and the 16-pointed sun that seems to connect to the cosmere (spiritual realm) 16-centric number
  8. Woooo the Oathbringer cover is out. http://www.tor.com/2017/03/16/revealing-the-cover-to-oathbringer-the-third-book-in-brandon-sandersons-stormlight-archive/ Hmm the giants seem to be thunderclasts, and looks like a big void-war is going on. wow.
  9. What hairstyle do steel inquisitors and kandra like the best? "Spikey"
  10. Hmm that makes sense, i was thinking more along the lines of Roshar being the central/core point in Shadesmar. For the WoB, it's here: http://www.theoryland.com/intvsresults.php?kw=key+in+shadesmar QUESTION It feels like Roshar is-- has an essence, where it’s like a prism, you can see all the rest of them, due to the nature of the Cognitive Realm and the spren’s ideas, Cognitive things coming to light. Have I spent too much time looking at the Shard? BRANDON SANDERSON No, you are on the right path. Of all the things you noted, that one is the one that is perhaps the most important. QUESTION The prism idea. BRANDON SANDERSON The idea that Roshar is special and a key on Shadesmar.
  11. Hi guys, after reading Words of Radiance and learning more about Shadesmar, I've got a cool theory (hopefully) on the potential of Shadesmar in Roshar and what we could see in the future books of The Stormlight Archive. In the prologue, Jasnah enters Shadesmar and realizes that each bead represents an object (a statue, a cup, etc.) and then she discovers an ancient bead representing the entire palace itself and uses that bead to formulate the palace hallway (the book mentions she was "not strong enough" to re-create the entire palace), she also used the statue bead to recreate and move the Talenel statue's sword when confronting Ivory. This kinda feels like a glimpse of what cognitive realm battles in the future could be like. Moreover, if there could be an ancient bead representing the palace, what about a bead representing the entire Roshar super-continent or even the Roshar planet or the entire Rosharan System or the Cosmere itself? I know it may be a bit of a stretch but we have WoB on how Roshar is unique/special and a key on Shadesmar, which adds to my theory. If someone has enough power/Investiture and could use that Roshar bead to manipulate things, the potential is enormous and epic. Do let me know your views, this is only my 2nd theory here and I am open to any opinions, thanks!!
  12. Lots of interesting information from the essays For Sel's essay, Khriss mentions something about how the landscape has gained self-awareness and it could be related to something with "origins lost in time", wondering if this could be related to the Unknown God/God Beyond (since the God Beyond has some relation to Sel and the fallen rocks that Shai's ancestors carved)?
  13. I have a theory that the Broken One mentioned in the death rattle is none other the remnant of Adonalsium after the Shattering. Points to support my theory: 1. In Ym's interlude, he mentioned about his religion and One. Ym is an Iriali. Furthermore, the death rattle regarding the Broken One ("the Broken One reigns") came from a person with Iriali descent. 2. Adonalsium grew the Roshar super-continent specifically and invested in the planet/system. He also left spren there. This may indicate Adonalsium probably has some plan with Roshar. I suspect this death rattle references an event that will happen at the end of Book 5 or during the back five books, after Odium has been weakened or defeated in the first five books. And this "Broken One" aka Adonalsium's Remnant will take charge or something along those lines. This is one of my very first theories here Thanks for reading .
