  1. After reading the Stormlight Archive yet again, I was intrigued by some of the philosophical discussions that Hoid held with either guards or ugly lizard-crab-things. I decided to start a philosophy thread (not sure if one already exists) and see what people come up with. I am slightly selfish in that our class is doing philosophy for English so I want some material to use. But then it doesn't matter. I personally like the statement about expectations and how people are fickle things. Now to you guys.
  2. Granted, But everybody will forget EVERYTHING about MLP as soon as they are told about it. I wish I had the power to meet expectations.
  3. This doesn't explain why it feeds off Stormlight to mend itself and it produces no screams when Kaladin touches it. If it was made of stormlight then a Radiant could unsummon a helm a some other part and absorb it then remake it.
  4. IDK if this is a thread anywhere else but here I go. Theory: When someone is devoted or committed to something there is a chance that they are taken by the Shaod. If the Dor is Devotions power then maybe the Shaod is a reward (sort of) that grants access to it. First Sel post ever so any ideas I got wrong let me known expressively.
  5. Could NIghtblood learn to copy the Skybreaker/Highsprens Nahel bond? I mean, Syl says that spren learn to copy the Honourblades and provide surgebinding abilities so surely Nightblood could do the same?
  6. Theory: Nightblood exists enough in the cognitive realm to act as a spren and facilitate a Nahel bond. It sounds a bit out there but I want to see peoples thoughts on this.
  7. That was a fact I forgot about. The helm drained his storm light to repair the crack. Means that it doesn't need gems to repair only a source of stormlight? EDIT: The Radiant should be the source of stormlight if it absorbs the wisps that would normally leak.
  8. Theory: Shardplate is made of the storm light wisps coming from a Surgebinders skin. This explains how they could hold stormlight so efficiently and why it doesn't cause screams. If any has any other ideas of modifications it would help.
