  1. Yeah, I was thinking more of Nightblood off planet, but I guess it is suppose to be a sequel set on Nathlis isnt it. But yeah. Ive been on the Silence Divine train for a while.
  2. It could be Nightblood. He has said the style will be polarizing, and it makes sense with how people interact with NB. We find out in like 6 hours!
  3. Yup. I assume this is how he puts himself into stasis. And Design being a spren, deciding to use him as a coat rack as a joke on him.
  4. One thing that hasn't been brought up, is the painting of a void bringer from Way of Kings, which looks like a chasmfiend. We know thunderclasts are inhibited by (I'm a bit confused whether it's a spren or a fused) something. I know Jasnah brushed it off as later scholars finding the scariest creature they could find as their intrepretion of a voidbringer, but maybe it was onto something with a tie to the Singers. This may be something very old. Maybe how the Listeners broke away in the first place.
  5. I got 600 pages in and I couldn't help myself and read through all of them. And because it's the thing I wanted to know most, what would happen to Kaladin. And I saw what the big deal with Mr T, which was the second thing I wanted to know. No idea what's happened in Shadesmar or most of the Dalinar storylines. Now I can go back to having a somewhat healthy reading sessions, get some sleep so I'm not feeling like crap at work lol. And I've definitely done it with other books before as well. The back and forth with Hoid and shardholders is just better read completely.
  6. No doubt. The thicker the book, the more characters, the longer the series to completion, and the greater the stakes, the better.
  7. You say that it's focused, and that's precisely why I don't consider Mistborn in the same vein of epic fantasy as SA. I personally don't even think of it most of its books as epic fantasy, at least in how I -personally- define it. And in light of not wanting to get into a semantic argument about the definition of epic fantasy, I'll just say, the cast is much larger, other series' characters are showing up, and the stakes are for the entire cosmere in SA.
  8. The old lore surrounding Urza was very good. After Invasion block, it significantly dropped off, and I stopped reading the books. They're expensive as hell to buy, but the Ice Age cycle trilogy are the best in the multiverse if you happen to find someone with the set.
  9. I mean really, it's about how much you enjoy 350,000+ word epic fantasy books. There's just nothing more epic than SA and all it's cosmere implications.
  10. Mistborn, because I heard of this random Sanderson guy was taking over Wheel of Time and I wanted to know if he was good or not. Yeah, we know that answer.
  11. Also, this ignores the breaking of the Heralds. Odium broke them horribly, and they've lived for the thousands of years, to keep interfering with the new heroes. I mean, Nale just murders surgebinders hoping to stop a new Desolation, people that should be his ally.
  12. Good points all around. I wonder what finding their way from Braize to Roshar fully entails. And yeah, that makes sense that they store their Voidlight in their gemhearts. We'll see how Venli uses Storm/Voidlight in the next book I assume. I totally forgot about the Fused running out of Voidlight via the larkin. That certainly depowers the Fused some. And now I want to see a swarm of those just knock Fused out of the sky lol.
  13. The way I'm seeing it, isn't in the individual nature of the Fused, but in the cumulative effect that their resurrection with the Everstorm is going to have on the Radiants. Odium has hundreds of Fused, with more waiting to find hosts (which doesn't make much sense to me since some of the other Fused have been shown to have had multiple bodies already). Odium when he decides to infuse the Everstorm further, can come pretty much whenever he wants it, bring forth more Fused. Even with their powers, there aren't many Radiants right now to be able to stand against them. Radiants will wear themselves out defending against overwhelming numbers. Which isn't really related to their power level, but was part of my thought on why I thought of them as overpowered. And do we know for sure that Dalinar can do that at will? I know there was a line about superpowering Kaladin, but can we say that he can infinitely recharge gems? That's something I kind of expected Radiants would have to have else how could they fight during the Weeping, but haven't really seen yet. As for the Unmade and their effects, good call. Forgot about those.
  14. Though now thinking on that WoB, it seems all the more likely that the Fused are tapping Odium, especially since the Heralds are Honor's response. So Honor did 10 people, and Odium has hundreds? Not a big surprise here but just goes to show just how bad the Herald's betrayal has hit humans on Roshar, and why Nale is capitulating.
