  1. I apologize if this theory is already out there, I've been gone a while and haven't read through this entire thread. A crazy theory I recently came up with is that Adolin, because of his hatred of Sadeas and the murder of him, will be influenced heavily by Odium and turn on Dalinar and Kaladin. He will not become a shardbearer, but become Odium's splinter (sorry I can't for the life of me remember the proper term ). The fifth book will then culminate in Kaladin and Adolin fighting eachother. Not sure where Szeth fits into all of this though.
  2. that does make more sense that it would be TLR and not Sazed. Thanks for asking the research!
  3. The question of Wax vs. Ironman is interesting. I think Wax would ultimately lose though it wouldn't be easy for Stark. The fact that he shoots plasma based projectiles I don't invite if Wax could push on them or not. Rockets would be useless, Wax's bubble he uses pushes bullets, I don't think he'd have trouble pushing rockets
  4. I remember that WoB, but it may have been about Sazed and not TLR if I remember correctly. But it's been a while.
  5. That's exactly what I was thinking. I was wondering if anyone else would come up with that theory. Kudos my friend!
  6. Thanks! I think vigilante might be a good word, not necessarily punisher level, but maybe like a more Robin Hood esc vigilante?
  7. I definitely will, as soon as I finish BoM!
  8. In my preorder copy of Bands of Mourning I asked Brandon a question which I debated for a while with some of you guys. The exact wording of my question was: "Hoid says he would watch Roshar burn if it meant his goals were achieved. Would Hoid go so far as to kill to achieve these goals? Can you give a hint about what his goals are?" In the lower left-hand corner he drew the symbol for Harmonium, I'm assuming a new Godmetal. To my knowledge we don't know anything about this yet. I'm super stoked to read the book, but I had to share this info with everyone first. So Hoid would, and probably will kill. And, we probably won't agree with some of his goals, that has me extremely interested.
  9. Yeah, I think Hoid's hatred of Hemalurgy and Rayse is more specifically about the murdering, and less about the actual magic or shards. However, it is interesting to me how Hoid hates Hemalurgy, and Brandon has said Hemalurgy is very dangerous to the Cosmere.
  10. That is very plausible, and based on how HoA played out, seems very likely.
  11. Oh wow... Well then, that is equally scary and kinda cool all at once.
  12. That is absolutely accurate, and makes me want to watch doctor who. I've never seen a single episode, but put it like that, and I may watch it now.
  13. That kind of brings up an interesting, Ham-like, philosophical question. Can we consider a shards intent to be evil? Because the shard itself is controlled and shaped by it's intent, Odium doesn't choose to be the embodiment of hatred, it just is. Now, the actions taken by a shards holder is another thing entirely, however even so, they are still being driven by the intent of the shard they hold. For example, take Ati. At what point do we consider Ati to have become evil, when we know he was a good person who was shaped by the intent of his shard? Was it because his shard was evil? Or were his decisions simply what made him evil?
  14. Or whatever power source was behind the Fain. I still think there is another being that opposed Adonalsium and had a power at least of equal strength that eventually killed the person holding Adonalsium, or actually shattered it as well. Now, where this other power is in the Cosmere right now? No clue.
  15. I could definitely see a lot of the characters unwittingly being used by Odium. It will be interesting to see who/why falls the quickest and becomes Odium's main tool.
