Today is my first day back on the 17th shard since...2017. And what do I see? TwiLyght still active AND referencing Mister Rogers...after I called my colleague "Mister Rogers" today because of the random cardigan sweater he's wearing. Love it.

You're correct. He does say Vinn. However, there's a WoB where he admits that it's pronounced "Vahn" and that he always says it incorrectly because he uses an American English accent instead of a French accent.

I LOVE the higher candy amounts as well. I also love pinap berries. They should've had those all along too! I've been using them frequently for Gen 2 mon I haven't gotten evolved forms for yet. I've also noticed you get way more candy for 10k egg hatches. I recently hatched two dratini that sent me from barely enough to evolve my dratini once to being able to evolve straight to Dragonite with candy to spare! Unfortunately my 97.8% IV Dragonite got a horrible moveset. Sigh, RNG. How I hate you!

My second Gen 2 Pokemon that I caught was a Feraligatr. I had no idea what it was or that it was the third evolution of a Gen 2 starter. Hahaha. Other than that, it's mostly the Gen 2 equivalent to pidgey and rattata. I think my least favorite new update is that my muscle memory no longer works to get Nice/Great/Excellent throws every time. Every throw is slightly too high. I know that all I need to do is move my finger slower and it'll land correctly...but muscle memory is all like "Aww heck no! No bonus XP for you!"

Reviving/Necro-ing this post from the dead because I now have a direct WoB about this for both Steel and Iron lines. Yes, both can be used to identify specific metals, and it is not limited to only savants. This seems to be something any misting or mistborn could do with enough practice.

They did indeed increase Pikachu spawns for Xmas hats. I'm liking it but I hope we get an XP boost the week of Xmas too. I harched an Igglybuff last night, so my Gen 2 hunt begins! Oh, and nests change every two weeks now. Check the Silphroad for nests in your area. It's a website where trainers upload information in a crowd sourced manner about nests without breaking the TOS.

I'm not sure if Brandon's Store Order number means anything for your book number. My order for the release of AU was 21853. My order for Mistborn is 20920. Does the store recycle order numbers? Maybe. (Why they would seems odd to me.) Was I the 920th person to order the Mistborn book once it became available? I doubt it.

What happened to the Parshmen that Lift sees when she's on the roof of the orphanage? It's clear that they probably started changing forms because their eyes were red. After the storm passes by it seems that there isn't a mention of them again. You'd think that they'd do something or be a part of the aftermath given they're supposedly Voidbringers and the Everstorm (which is rather weak, if you ask me) had just hit.

I was perturbed by the 90 character limit in the personalization box. I really had to get creative in editing my question to make it super succinct. But in the end, super stoked by this book! I binged watched all four episodes with my girlfriend this past weekend...and was severely disappointed. A lot of the actions that most characters take seem out of character. The only two characters for me that seemed sincere to the original series were Paris and Taylor. I also feel that the entire premise is 5-7 years too late. Everything Rory does seems like it should be something that a 25 year old does, not a 32 year old. The references to the 30-something gang espouse this for me: it's not 30-somethings that are living at home with their parents now, it's the 20-somethings, recently graduated from college who are.

Tomorrow can't come soon enough! I want to order this now! I guess I can use the remaining few hours to try and come up with a great, un-RAFO-able question. Only to ultimately still get a RAFO!.

Glad to know that the Sleepless are Dysian Aimians! As I was reading that scene with Arclo, it seems to me that his race is purely of Cultivation. They breed and grow their hordelings to shape them for their needs. They're ancient friends of the KR according to Arclo, but his wording seems like his kind were not exactly of honor like the KR: That pause before "honor" seems telling to me. As if he wanted use a big H. And knows Honor is dead.

Homestar Runner was my jam back in the day! My roommates and I in college always eagerly anticipated the newest segment every week. We still randomly quote it when we see each other on rare occasions ("You're going to make it, Li'l Brudder!"). Sigh. Such great years! We even carved our pumpkins one year in the likeness of Strong Sad, Strong Bad, and The Cheat.

Team Instinct for the win! We are a rare breed, unless you're in Portland, ME. They rule that city; or at least they did when I visited in October. You went to WorldCon?!?! I'm super jealous. That must have been awesome on so many levels, even forgetting about the daily PoGo meetups! Squeezy! That's brilliant for a Machop. Now I hear Dory saying "I shall call him Squeezy. And he shall be mine. And he shall be my Squeezy. Come here Squeezy!" Hahahaha. I don't name mine because I'm not very creative. Mine end up "Victreebell97.8" or something like that to let me know their IVs. Very, very original! I can tell you that downtown DC is a Mecca for good Pokemon. The FDR and MLK memorials (within five minutes walking of each other) always have a ton of rare spawns and it's the regional hotspot that's lured 100% of the time. The FDR memorial alone has roughly 10 PokeStops clustered together. The reflecting pool is a great place to catch Dratini too and the entire length of the Mall has various species nests throughout. I work very close to the Capitol building and take lunch breaks walking around catching things on occasion. Currently, 5 minutes away from me at work, there is a large Abra nest and smaller Seel, Electabuzz, and Mankey nests.

I'm torn about a Gen 2 release coming sooner than later. On one hand, I feel like they should hold off on Gen 2 until spring because too many people in the Northern hemisphere will not go out hunting for Pokemon during the winter. With the majority of their user base living in northern latitudes, there will be a sharp drop off no matter what they do. But, if they do release Gen 2 right as winter starts they may retain their more hardcore players. It may end up being very difficult to get more casual players to come back come spring, no matter what they do. Are you a rural or suburban player? I feel like I'm totally lucky with my Pokemon diversity because I live in a big city. That's tough about not having a Pikachu yet! Your best bet for a Pikachu is probably hatching 2k eggs if you have any. I've gotten several Pikachu from that method. I am also very lucky because early on in the game I had a Pikachu that showed up every hour on the hour two blocks from where I lived. I've noticed with some of the most recent updates to the game that wild high-IV Pokemon seem to be rarer than they used to me. It's been annoying me. Now I usually just catch things and transfer them to the Professor. Do you use your Pokemon to battle or do you just want to power all of your good ones up? If I were you, I'd wait on powering up Pokemon until around level 30 or so, because you'll eventually find high-IV level 25+ Pokemon that will need less candy to power up. If trading were a thing, I'd totally give you what you need. I swim in Horsea and recently found an Onix next half a mile away that spits out 5 at a time!

Out of all the pokemon you're still missing, which is highest on your wishlist? I'm only missing a Hitmonchan. I also have heard about Gen 2 supposedly coming out on Dec. 7th, but to me it's only a rumor until Niantic says something. In the mean time, I've been hoarding a ton of candy for mon in Gen1 that can be evolved further in Gen2 while also trying to find high IV versions of them: Eevee Onix Slowpoke Oddish Zubat Poliwag Horsea

How many people still play Pokemon Go? I'm now level 30 and only need one more mon to complete my North America pokedex. My desire to grind for XP has been severely diminished, despite the current XP boost. Nonetheless, I still open the ap at least twice a day while walking my dog.
