  1. I was wondering if she has any similarities to a certain priest from Elantris and his arm probably a stretch though.
  2. Thanks, I thought I heard a WoB a while back that specified it as 10 years. Either way, I am sure we will get a pretty epic conclusion to the first half and a cliff hanger to bring us into the second. Should be a lot of fun. I expect the body count to get quite high, I like how Brandon hasn't shied away from axing his mains in the past.
  3. I agree with you, it could be Kaladin sacrifices himself to stop the current everstorm, and that ends the first half of the SA. We know there is a 10 year break that takes place on Roshar between 4th and 5th(?) books. Perhaps what you have found is the end of the first half. I wonder if Kaladin's body dying but not his spirit could imply him gaining control of a shard or becoming like Kelsier? Would be interesting to see him pulling strings from beyond, or even granting powers to radiants or something cool like that.
  4. I think it is going to be hard to write the fact that they know each other without requiring anyone to have read Warbreaker. Perhaps just a quick explanation to Kal by Zahel about how he created him, and then some avoidance about him not wanting to talk about it, but offering warnings. An interaction like that before or immediately after any Zahel and Nightblood interaction should make it work, right?
  5. Is anyone else wondering if the group of Parshendi that didn't take stormform and escaped will end up being allies? I could see that happening. It isn't very clear, but in some of Dalinar's visions of the desolations it sometimes sounds as if the mixing of blood and bodies on the ground could mean some parshendi fought alongside the humans.
  6. Both Zahel and NB must play some large roles going forward for them to have had their own book for an intro (I hope). You never know with Brandon. I guess we do already know BN is on the scene and it will probably take Zahel helping out to get him under control.
  7. I literally lol'd at your "then, there's a 10-year break" response. Classic. Thank you for sharing.
  8. Maybe this is off-topic slightly, but does anyone else wonder who is really influencing Mr T? I am reminded of mistborn and how even writing couldn't be trusted, could Mr T. be being used to believe he must save the world in order to weaken it? He has given himself over to a pretty much unknown magic for his knowledge. Just a thought, the diagram itself could be a subterfuge.
  9. Was anyone else just giddy to see Nightblood show up? He's one of those "interesting in a twisted sort of way" things, and I was just tickled to see "him" make an appearance. I have this hope that Szeth is going to be redeemed somewhat, I initially hoped he would realize what was happening and train Kaladin, but alas, my hopes were dashed upone the reveal of the Honorblade rather than a spren bond.
  10. I personally like the idea of Adolin as an Edgedancer, and I am not certain if Brandon has said anything that would make us believe there won't be multiple members of each group of KR. I would think with both Darkness and now Szeth that would make it possible for there to be more than one in each order. I could be wrong, but I really would love to see groups of each with our main characters as leaders of those subsets. I never saw Adolin as a Windrunner, but his murder of Sadeas was jarring to me and my perception of his character. Hopefully he can recover and be redeemed.
  11. When Kaladin was being all moody doesn't Syl tell him, "You're not a Skybreaker," does that imply that real Skybreakers do have spren, or am I just jumping to conclusions? I guess I could see there being lots of contention between the orders, just like the tension between Ajahs in WoT and tension between White and Black towers. I'm interested in how this develops.
  12. I wonder if "Fleet" isn't about an individual, but a group, as in a fleet of ships. Probably grasping at straws, but it made me think of Legion from the Bible, and that made me think plural but represented by one.
  13. I feel like Brandon has a knack for hiding people's intentions and true colors right in front of of faces. Adolin wanting to murder Sadeas sin WoK might be more telling of his morals than anything else. I personally am worried about it, as it was not honorable and seemed out of place for his "persona" which we have had small indications of being a facade. The example that comes to mind is when he is at the wine house with Shallan and he smiles and it is described as a real smile, like he is usually hiding. I don't know, I could be grasping, but I feel like it was not a good sign for Adolin in the way he murdered Sadeas.
  14. I assumed it was Pattern that they heard, trying to distract them. Didn't Shallan have him go down to do that?
